Once again, this year, the Duca di Salaparuta Wine Cellars in Casteldaccia (PA) will open to wine lovers and wine tourism enthusiasts during Cantine Aperte, the event organised by the Wine Tourism Movement to promote the culture of wine tourism in Italy. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 29 May to tell you all about our wines and spend a day together dedicated to enjoyment, music and taste!
THE PROGRAMME
The wine cellars and wine shop will open to the public from 11 am to 7.30 pm
Music will be played throughout the day.
HOURS GUIDED TOUR OF THE WINE CELLARS
Booking is required and subject to availability: 11.30 am, 12.30 pm, 1.30 pm, 3.30 pm, 4.30 pm, 5.30 pm, 6 pm

FOOD&WINE TOUR €30* (booking is required), which includes:
Guided tour in Italian
Wine experience with a selection of Duca di Salaparuta wines, at the wine tasting counters set up in the garden:
- Duca Nero
- Sentiero del Vento
- Passo delle Mule
- Lavico Etna bianco
- Lavico Etna rosso
Food experience with 4 different Sicilian specialities, freshly made in the food islands:
- “Coppo palermitano” stall (fried “panelle”, i.e. chickpea flour fritters, “crocchè”, i.e. mashed potato and egg fritters, aubergines, courgette flowers)
- “Pasta caciata” stall, a delicacy from Montalbano
- “Sua eccellenza la grigliata” barbecue stall
- “Pace” (peace) stall: gelato

There will also be a special masterclass on Nero d’Avola, which has shaped the history of wine in Sicily (booking is required and subject to availability).

Technical tasting of four different vintages, described by our oenologist: 2015, 2013, 2009, 2004
