International Packaging Competition

The new Spumante Dolce Florio was awarded the Bronze Label in the category for packaging for sparkling wines produced with fermentation in autoclaves (Charmat method) or fermentation in the bottle (classic method) in the prestigious competition organised by VeronaFiere, the international exhibition centre in Verona. An award that reinforces the great tradition of triumphs that Duca di Salaparuta has built up over the competition’s 17 years and once again rewards the spirit of curiosity and research that have always distinguished the company in this sector.

Previous illustrious awards include one in 2008, when Aegusa Florio won the prestigious “Packaging 2008” Special Award. In 2010 the Florio Targa Vintage range of Marsala won two awards, the “Packaging 2010” Special Award in the wines category and the Gold Label in the category for packaging of naturally sweet wines and still liqueur wines with denomination of origin and geographical indication, and the Corvo Irmana range was awarded the Silver Label in the category for still red wines with denomination of origin and geographical indication.

Spumante Dolce Florio, an aromatic experience with a flourish of mediterranean flavours and citrus nuances, has become part of this longstanding tradition thanks to its unique, fun and elegant image, which expresses the joyous and exuberant nature of this product. Florio Sweet Sparkling Wine’s liveliness and exuberance represents just one of the many personalities of Florio, an unexpected world the brings together quality and particular care for the product with an elegant, fresh and glamourous style.
