Florio: the summer’s coolest cocktails

Mint, basil, ginger, lime and elderflower – the freshness of Mediterranean herbs and the allure of more exotic ones mixed with VecchioFlorio, the best-loved marsala wine, to give an unmistakable scent to warm summer evenings. Three unique, easy to make recipes that will put a completely new spin on one of the Italian wine industry’s most versatile products, marsala wine. Three surprising cocktails for a wine with an appeal that comes from Grillo and Catarrato grapes. Enhanced with the scents of aromatic Sicilian herbs, basil and mint, this marsala wine becomes Mediterranean, a cocktail with familiar scents that immediately bring summer and its enchantment to mind. An almost exotic charm, on the other hand, for Oriental, which marries marsala wine with the fresh scents of ginger and lime for a completely unexpected flavour. And finally, 150, the cocktail that combines marsala wine with mint  and Elderflower Cordial. Read the recipes and choose which cocktail to mix this evening and make this a truly cool summer!
