Great international recognition for Florio marsala, a wine that is ancient but modern and versatile at the same time. From the Old Continent, where the authoritative British magazine, Decanter, has awarded a Bronze Medal to VecchioFlorio Dolce marsala, to the New World, where the prestigious Los Angeles International Wine Competition assigned the same wine the BEST OF CLASS, GOLD MEDAL – 93 Points.
There is a growing trend in appreciation of wines like VecchioFlorio, which combine great attention to quality, a fair price and above all, commitment on the part of Florio to promote this wine on international markets through new forms of communication and by providing dozens of suggestions for its use that reveal its uniqueness.
A trend that led both Decanter and the judges of the Los Angeles International Wine Competition to also recognize VecchioFlorio Secco: Commended for Decanter and SILVER MEDAL for the important American competition. Two wines originating in the historic cellars of the Florio Winery in Marsala that offer wine lovers the heritage, charm and meticulous care of a product that has been loved for its full-bodied flavour and eclectic personality since 1915.
From Britain to the United States, marsala is the wine of the moment, perfect to enjoy chilled as an unusual aperitif or at room temperature to accompany delicious dried fruit and nuts or biscuits. That’s not all, however, VecchioFlorio marsala is ideal for making original, refreshing cocktails to enjoy on warm summer evenings. A versatile product, but above all the offspring of a lengthy tradition and the know-how that goes into making one of the most innovative, best-loved wines at all latitudes
